Step 4 – Hire an attorney
You can call on the services of an attorney to help you file your complaint. An attorney can explain the options and actions available to you as a subscriber. However, you must take into account the prescription period (legal deadline) within which you must pursue legal proceedings. Once the prescribed period has elapsed, you may lose your right to certain recourses. Exchanges with the aforementioned parties to attempt to resolve the dissatisfaction or complaint do not suspend the legal deadline provided for in the Civil Code of Québec.
